The programme teaches children and parents the biochemistry of their mind/body make-up and children learn techniques that help them self-regulate restoring wellness and equilibrium.
1:1 Play Therapy
Most children will experience emotional difficulties at some point during their development. Sensitive care and support is usually enough to help them through difficult times. However, sometimes children need additional help, particularly if they have experienced a significant life changing event or trauma. As play is a child’s natural medium of self-expression, Play Therapy may be an appropriate intervention. Play Therapy helps children understand muddled feelings and upsetting events that they have not had a chance to sort out properly. The trusting non-judgmental relationship between child and therapist allows the child to have freedom to be themselves and express their inner struggles. This can facilitate the resolution of their pain, create hope for the future and unlock the potential for self-growth and self-healing.
